These lifesaving checks are currently the ONLY available Medicare items dedicated specifically to the early detection and prevention of heart disease in Australia, and they now face expiry on the 30 June 2023.

Removing the Heart Health Check Medicare item will sadly result in tens of thousands of preventable heart events occurring and will have a debilitating effect on the health system, all Australians, and their families.
